In The Beginning There Was HTML
This is just the latest change of many since this small farm site started in 2002. At first, RuralRamblings.com was a static website, using HTML pages and the help of FrontPage software.
This is the 3rd Friday I’ve started to work on a post. The previous two weeks I got interrupted and never got back to it. Hopefully, I can get this done today!
Last time I posted, I showed you our scummy pond, and mentioned how The Farmer was working on getting it cleared up. Well, look at it after he treated it with algaecide and it rained:
How’s that for a great title? Maybe we could make a movie, “The Farmer Battles Pond Scum.” And all the sequels where he gets rid of it again, and again, and again….
Our pond is spring-fed and looked lovely until we had a flood that got high enough to seep water into the pond. It was a bummer watching the dirty water swirl into the pond.
Time keeps on marching, and here we are in April! Good Friday, with the Easter weekend coming up.
Around here we don’t have anything special planned. Some of the family, however, is spending Easter in Paris.
Earlier in the week we got lots of rain, so when I went out to do morning chores, the road below us looked like this:
