It’s snowing!

It started snowing here a while ago, and it’s coming down pretty FAST for our part of the world!

This poor cardinal is braving the snow to wait his turn at the feeders.

And there’s snow on the ground around the pond…

But the snow doesn’t keep the sheep from getting out!

And the chickens are standing around under the bird feeders hoping for a treat…

Even Toby likes to play out in the snow!

That’s it for now! If it keeps snowing like this, I might have to go out in the woods later and get some pictures!

The Farmer just can't resist. Every 3 or 4 months, he has to play lumberjack on the farm. We have lots of trees around here, and as is the way of things, some of them die. One of those dead trees is close to the house. I think it taunts him, "Come on, you want to see if you can cut me down, you know you do!" Of course, the problem is to ...

Welcome ya’ll!

We’re living the country life and hobby farming in the southeastern U.S.

We presently have chickens, turkeys and guinea fowl. To keep all the other critters safe, there’s a Maremma sheepdog and English Shepherd dog here as well!

I love to take pictures so there are lots of images to go with the stories! Not just of the farm critters, but wildlife and nature shots too. Plus some pictures from far afield now and then, when we do a tad of traveling. So sit down and visit a spell!
